Vehicle customization
The challenge was that many of the assets provided were outdated or incomplete. As a result, we often had to use previous years models as a reference and build on top of that using whatever images of updates parts we could find or create the assets ourselves. In some cases, new colours swabs came in last minute so the cars all had to be colour graded accordingly. Some models also had unique elements we needed to take into consideration (i.e spoilers, fin/ antenna).
The biggest hurdle to factor in, was that each model had between 8-20 viewing angles. Every single model had to be meticulously photo edited in every angle, using every given customizable feature. We also needed to be sure that every photo was locked in the same vertical and horizontal position to ensure a seamless transition when cycling through angles or applying parts.
This was all done in a matter of weeks. IT required a lot of organization, communication, forward thinking, program optimization, time management and careful planning

Hero Images & Ads
Like the vehicle shots, the hero images provided needed work in one of two key areas. Some of the backgrounds did not actually feature the cars themselves, resulting in having to manually insert them into the environment, while scaling and adjusting the lighting and perspective accordingly. Fortunately, this meant the same environment could be used with multiple vehicles. The other challenge was that some of the images did not properly scale to the desired dimensions, meaning parts of the background needed to be created, or obscured when this was not possible.
Some blending tools used to achieve this included: Clone stamping, content aware filters, vignettes, blurs, stitching together parts of other photos, etc.
